A local café named after the owner's horse has added an outdoor seating area to its venue - as the business continues to grow.

The Haslington resident opened Kazzy's Kitchen last year near Winterley Pool - offering home cooked food, tea and coffee.

Mrs Ellis named the business after her beloved horse, Kazzy, and has seen her business grow from strength to strength.

The interior of the Crewe Road business also has undertones of Mrs Ellis' two passions – fashion and musicals.

Mrs Ellis has added two bistro tables and chairs outside (pictured above) so café goers can sit and watch the world go by with a view overlooking Winterley pool.

The business owner found the first customers to sample the new outside offering were horse lovers passing by with their four-legged friends.

Mrs Ellis told Nub News: "I have just added two bistro tables and chairs outside.

Kazzy's Kitchen is currently open 8:00am to 1:30pm (Monday to Thursday) and 7:30am to 1:30pm (Friday) (Nub News).

"Later on in spring, I will be opening up the side of the building with a few tables with plants and flowers.

"It sometimes gets busy and with limited seating inside, I thought I would provide seating outside so if the weather's nice, people can sit outside."

Kazzy's Kitchen is currently open 8:00am to 1:30pm (Monday to Thursday) and 7:30am to 1:30pm (Friday).
