Lloyds Bank has now permanently closed a Cheshire branch - with residents having to travel six miles to Crewe.
The bank located on Hightown, Sandbach, closed its doors for the final time on Monday (December 5).
Lloyds' closest branch now for Sandbach customers is now Victoria Street, Crewe, six miles away.
The bank says visits to its branch in the town centre have fallen by 69 per cent since 2017.
Lloyds Bank says 83 per cent of its personal customers already use other ways of banking - such as over the phone or internet banking.
The Sandbach branch closed at 2:30 pm, with customers giving staff good luck and thank you cards.
A Lloyds Bank spokesperson said: "Visits to our Sandbach branch have fallen over recent years.
"The nearest free to use ATM is 0.04 miles away and there are eight free to use ATMs within one mile of the closing branch.
"Customers can use any Lloyds Bank branch for their banking such as Crewe, as well as other options such as the Post Office, online, mobile and telephone banking."
There is now only one bank left in Sandbach, NatWest, besides the Nationwide Building Society and the Post Office.
NatWest closes its Sandbach branch in Hightown on February 8, 2023 - also following a reduction in counter customers.
The bank says there were 51 per cent fewer counter transactions in January this year compared with January 2019.
The closest NatWest branch for Sandbach customers will be on The Square, Crewe - 5.8 miles away.
