THE pandemic has had a big impact on the jobs market, but despite these difficult times there are still some great job opportunities available in the Crewe area.

We have many of them listed in the Crewe Nub News Jobs section.

Every week, we highlight a job opportunity in the Crewe area in greater detail to give you a helping hand and give you a chance to browse our jobs list.

This week we feature three roles in the kitchen at the White Lion at Weston.

The pub restaurant requires a Junior Sous Chef, Commis Chef and a Chef de Partie.

The pub/ restaurant has bags of ambition and is developing fine dining gastro menus, that sources local and regional produce to create modern British dishes with an exciting and unique twist.

The Junior Sous Chef needs ideally to already have good experience in a high-quality kitchen and have the ability to train junior chefs on each section. He or she will have good kitchen management skills and be committed to providing a high level of cuisine and service at all times

The Commis Chef needs to have a willingness to learn new skills and will have either NVQs in Catering or at least 12 months' experience in a kitchen.

While the Chef de Partie, will oversee a section of the kitchen, helping the Sous Chef and Head Chef to develop new dishes and menus. They will also manage and train any demi-chef de parties or commis working with them.

If you are interested in applying for any of these roles then contact the White Lion at Weston by emailing [email protected] or ringing 01270 587011.
