Hundreds of people have enjoyed free fitness sessions at a popular Crewe town centre facility, hosted by a leisure charity as part of National Fitness Day.

Everybody Health & Leisure opened its doors to the public on Wednesday 20 September at Crewe Lifestyle Centre, with the event running all day.

As part of National Fitness Day, a huge range of free events and taster sessions have been taking place across the whole of the UK.

This was no different at Crewe Lifestyle Centre with a Mass Move It Or Lose It Class taking place in the morning inside the facility's sports hall.

There has also been Activation and Train classes inside the centre's gym, with more of the later to take place into the afternoon and evening.

Duty manager at Crewe Lifestyle Centre, Matthew Hatton, told Nub News: "Today has been a fantastic opportunity to get some new members down and celebrate the activities we are running as part of National Fitness Day.

"We have had plenty of fitness activities running today for people to participate in.

A free Mass Move It Or Lose It Class took place in the morning of Wednesday 20 September inside Crewe Lifestyle Centre's sports hall (Ryan Parker).

"We had a Mass Move It Or Lose It Class which was well attended, as well as an Activation class.

"Train classes have also been taking place in our gym throughout the day, with more to take place this evening.

"We encourage all local people to get themselves to Crewe Lifestyle Centre now to stay active and take part in lots of fitness activities."

Everybody members are still encouraged to bring a friend for free for these rest of National Fitness Day.

National Fitness Day is the UK's most active day of the year.

In 2022, more than 22 million people across the UK were shown to be active on the day, including 11.4 million children.
