Man charged after threatening staff with 'large knife' at Crewe takeaway
A man is set to appear at Crewe court next month, after threatening staff with a "large knife" at a takeaway business in the town.
On Monday 18 September, Cheshire Police received reports of an incident at Pepper Jacks, Nantwich Road.
At 8:13pm, officers arrived at the scene, detaining and searching a man, where a large knife was found and seized.
Bartlomiej Soroczynski, 35, from the local area, was arrested and has since been charged with possesion of a bladed article in a public place.
The man is set to appear at Crewe Magistrates' Court on Thursday 5 October.
A Cheshire Police spokesperson said: "On Monday 18 September, a member of staff at a takeaway contacted Police after a male was making threats with a weapon.
"Response taser officers attended the address on Nantwich road and a male was detained.
"He was searched by officers, and a large knife was found."
"Bartlomiej Soroczynski, 35 has since been charged with possesion of a bladed article in a public place.
"He will appear at Crewe Magistrates' Court on Thursday 5 October."
