Huge free gig set to take place in Crewe town centre this weekend
A huge free gig is set to take place in Crewe town centre this weekend - with eight different acts scheduled to perform.
Dog Day Afternoon The Sequel is live inside Crewe Central, Lyceum Square, on Saturday 1 July - running from 1pm until 9pm.
This event, run by The Crewe Dog, Crewe Market Hall, was a success in 2022 and comes back with a bigger event this year.
There will be performances from eight music artists, including: Tony Wright, Battery Farm, Hollow Souls, Christie, Arms & Hearts and Indoor shoes.
Crewe solo-guitarist, Sean Lawton, who has recently performed at the town's market hall will be kicking off the event.
Talented musician, Oli NG, who works at Crewe Market Hall's Noodle Gurus, will also performing in the 7pm slot.
The Crewe Dog says it is "excited" for the upcoming Dog Day Afternoon - releasing a social media statement.
The statement reads: "Dog Day is just around the corner and we couldn't be more thrilled.
"A big thank you to everyone involved and all our lovely customers or supporting us and giving us the chance to give back.
"Saturday 1 July, free event. All are welcome."
Dog Day Afternoon The Sequel takes place in Crewe Covered Market - surrounding the town's new LY2 development.
