Crewe Alexandra have stepped up their transfer activity with the signing of a former Premier League winger - becoming the club's third summer incoming to date.

Shilow Tracey completed his move to Crewe on Monday 26 June - signing on a two-year contract.

The 25-year-old former Tottenham Hotspur winger completed his move to South Cheshire after leaving Cambridge United earlier this summer.

Tracey started out at Ebbsfleet in the National League South, who was then signed by Spurs for an undisclosed fee in 2016.

The right footed player stayed at the Spurs for five years, enjoying loan spells at Macclesfield, Shrewsbury, and Cambridge.

Tracey joined Cambridge on a permanent basis in 2021 - helped them to win promotion from League Two in his first season.

Last season, Tracey made 37 appearances for the U's, scoring once and providing two assists.

Right back, Ryan Cooney, became Crewe Alexandra's second summer signing on a two-year deal after leaving Morecambe (Crewe Alex).

The London-born winger left the League One club this summer following the expiry of his contract.

Tracey is the third player to join Crewe this transfer window - following of signings of Harvey Davies and Ryan Cooney.

Right back, Cooney, joined The Alex last week on a two-year deal after leaving Morecambe.

The 23-year-old former Burnley defender made 27 appearances for The Shrimps last season - providing two assists.

Liverpool goalkeeper, Harvey Davies, was Crewe's first summer signing - joining the club on a season-long loan deal (Wikimedia Commons).

Goalkeeper, Davies, 19, signed from Liverpool on a season-long loan deal - competing with Tom Booth for a place in the starting 11.

Crewe Alexandra players and staff regrouped at Reaseheath to begin pre-season training on Monday 26 June.
