Two men arrested following 'targeted' serious assault inside Crewe property

Two men have been arrested on suspicion of a "targeted' assault inside a Crewe property - located on a main road within the town.

The incident on Nantwich Road, happened at 5:20pm on Monday 26 June - with reports of violence with weapons being used.

Cheshire Police officers quickly arrived at the scene - discovering a man had been assaulted inside the property.

On social media, Crewe Police confirmed the assault was a 'targeted attack and not a random incident.' (Ryan Parker).

A 37-year-old man and a 42-year-old man were arrested on suspicion of assault.

Both men remain in police custody at this time.

On Tuesday 27 June, Cheshire Police confirmed the incident to Nub News.

A spokesperson said: "At 5.20pm on Monday 26 June, police were called to reports that a man had been assaulted inside an address on Nantwich Road, Crewe.

"Officers attended the scene and two men, aged 37 and 42, were arrested on suspicion of assault.

A 37-year-old man and a 42-year-old man have been arrested on suspicion of assault at an address on Nantwich Road (Crewe Police).

"Both men remain in custody at this time."
