Huge Crewe advertising board to be up and running in early 2026

A huge new Crewe advertising board, left in its current state for over 12 months, is set to be up and running in early 2026 - say Network Rail.
Installed by Kier Group on behalf of Global, the electronic board is located adjacent to the the Hungerford Road to Sydney Road public footpath, in front of the Crewe to Manchester railway line by Manchester Bridge.
Network Rail currently manage the site, with it set to be passed on to Global in the near future.
The modern billboard has replaced an old Global static billboard will was placed at the site for over a decade.

On social media, some local residents claimed the advertising screen has been delayed to issues regarding lighting, which Network Rail has since denied.
A Network Rail spokesperson told Nub News: "We have every intention of getting the advertising board up and running and are working with our partners to do so at the beginning of 2026.
"We are not aware of an issue with the lighting of the board which will be in line with regulations agreed with the local authority."
