Housing company inviting Crewe residents to 'affordable' new estate this weekend

Guinness Homes is inviting local Crewe residents to check out its new housing development on Goddard Street this July.
Open from 10am to 4pm on Saturday 19 July, visitors will have the opportunity to tour the homes and explore the West End estate, with The Guinness Homes team on hand to answer any questions.
Following a successful sales period, the old LMR site only has "limited homes" remaining, all of which are two-bedroom properties.
The homes are available to buy through shared ownership, a government funded scheme offering a more affordable route to getting on the property ladder.

At Goddard Street, buyers can purchase a share of the home, between 40 per cent and 75 per cent of the property’s total value.
Buyers pay a mortgage only on their share of the home, reduced rent on the remaining shares and a monthly service charge. It typically requires a lower monthly outgoing, and reduced initial deposit, than purchasing a home outright.
Sales manager for Guinness Homes’ Goddard Street development, Luke Wilkinson, said: “Guinness Homes is proud to bring affordable homes to Crewe, which is currently experiencing a housing shortage.
"We believe that people shouldn’t be priced out of quality, location or specification, and the huge popularity our Goddard Street homes have seen in the past few months further highlights this need.
“Situated in a highly desirable location only 10-minutes’ walk from Crewe town centre, the development allows residents to experience everything the vibrant town has to offer.
"The homes have also been designed with first-time buyers and families in mind, with each property featuring a private, rear garden and allocated parking.

“We’ are excited to welcome local residents to visit the development and hope that we can help even more people take their first steps onto the property ladder.”
Prices start at £82,000 for a two-bedroom home at a 40 per cent share and are ready to move into straight away, subject to a £99 reservation fee. Deposits are available from as low as 5 per cent.
Slots are available by appointment only. To book your space email [email protected] or call 01270 503526.
