GCSE Results: Crewe school celebrates 'excellent' grades with standout performers

Students and staff at Sir William Stanier School, Coronation Street, Crewe and part of The Learning Partnership, are celebrating their "great" GCSE results (Ryan Parker).

Students and staff at Sir William Stanier School, Coronation Street, Crewe and part of The Learning Partnership, are celebrating their "great" GCSE results.

A Sir William Stanier spokesperson told Nub News: "The school is pleased to announce a year of great results for students.

"The whole school community is incredibly proud of Sir William Stanier students, who have worked incredibly hard all year, and throughout their time at secondary school."

Angel Mathala achieved five grade 9's in English, Maths Chemistry, History and Physics and grade 8's in all her other subjects (Sir William Stanier).

While all pupils have done well, there have been some impressive individual performances. These include:

  • Angel Mathala achieved 5 grade 9's in English, Maths Chemistry, History and Physics and grade 8's in all her other subjects – a truly outstanding accomplishment and the first step to fulfil her ambition to study medicine. 
  • Elliot Pierce achieved grade 9's in Biology and Physics, 8's English and Chemistry and will go on to study Sciences at A Level.  

Executive Headteacher at Sir William Stanier, Paul Farr, told Nub News: "We are so proud of our pupils, this set of results is testament to their hard work and dedication.
