Five injured and junction closes in late-night Crewe collision

Five people sustained "minor injuries" as a result of a late-night collision in Crewe, with a busy junction closed for several hours.

On Tuesday 5 November, emergency services received reports of an incident at the junction of Wistaston Road/Edleston Road/Oak Street, outside The Duke of Bridgewater.

At 9.52pm, officers arrived at the scene, discovering two vehicles had collided with one another.

Cheshire Police closed the junction while dealing with the incident, with those involved being seen by paramedics (Cheshire Police).

No one suffered any major injuries, with no arrests made. Both vehicles suffered serious damage.

The junction reopened on the morning of Wednesday 6 November.

A Cheshire Police spokesperson told Nub News: "At 9.52pm on Tuesday 5 November, police were called to a two-vehicle collision by the Duke of Bridgewater on Wistaston Road.

"Five people were assessed at the scene and were thought to have minor injuries."

The junction of Wistaston Road/Edleston Road/Oak Street reopened on the morning of Wednesday 6 November (Cheshire Police).

This incident came just nine days after another collision at the Crewe junction.
