Firefighters rescue several dogs in serious Crewe house blaze
Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service tackled a serious house fire on the outskirts of Crewe - rescuing several dogs from the property.
The incident on Gresty Lane, Shavington, happened at 2:27pm yesterday (October 3).
Two fire engines from Crewe arrived at the scene - putting out the blaze.
Firefighters discovered a large fire within the kitchen of a property with several dogs still inside.
The team worked together to successful rescue the dogs and ensure everyone in the house was accounted for.
A hose reel was used to put out the blaze - with a large fan clearing smoke that had covered the property.
A Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "Firefighters used two breathing apparatus and one hose reel to put out a kitchen fire at a property in Shavington.
A large fan was used to clear smoke from the property.
"Persons were accounted for and firefighters also successfully rescued several dogs from the property.
This incident came a day after a house fire on Lunt Avenue in Crewe (October 2).
The blaze had started from a plastic chopping board left on top of a stove.
Firefighters extinguished the flames using a hose reel - ventilating the property with a large fan.
No one was hurt in either house fire incidents.
