Fire crews tackle 'accidental' bedroom blaze at Crewe house

Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service tackled a bedroom blaze in Crewe, with the cause of the fire believed to be "accidental."

On Tuesday 20 August, fire crews were called to an incident on Alton Street.

At 1:04pm, two fire engines from Crewe arrived at the scene, finding flames coming from the first floor of a property.

The cause of the bedroom blaze on Alton Street was accidental (Google).

The Crewe firefighters used a hose reel jet to put out the small blaze.

Thankfully, no one was injured, with the cause of the incident determined to be not suspicious.

A Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel jet to extinguish a small fire in a bedroom.

"The cause is believed to have been accidental.

Thankfully, no one was injured, with the bedroom fire determined to be accidental (Google).

"A thermal imaging camera was used to check for hot spots, and a high-pressure fan was used to clear the smoke."
