Fire crews tackle 'accidental' bedroom blaze at Crewe house
Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service tackled a bedroom blaze in Crewe, with the cause of the fire believed to be "accidental."
On Tuesday 20 August, fire crews were called to an incident on Alton Street.
At 1:04pm, two fire engines from Crewe arrived at the scene, finding flames coming from the first floor of a property.
The Crewe firefighters used a hose reel jet to put out the small blaze.
Thankfully, no one was injured, with the cause of the incident determined to be not suspicious.
A Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel jet to extinguish a small fire in a bedroom.
"The cause is believed to have been accidental.
"A thermal imaging camera was used to check for hot spots, and a high-pressure fan was used to clear the smoke."
