Fire crews tackle 2.30am van blaze by Crewe alleyway

Fire crews tackled a serious van blaze in Crewe in the middle of the night, with no injuries reported.
On Friday 13 June, Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service received reports of an incident on Henry Street, close to the alleyway to Mirion Street.
At 2.36am, one fire engine from Crewe arrived at the scene, discovering a white South Cheshire Inflatables van well-alight from the rear.
Crewe firefighters put out the flames with a hose reel jet, setting up a cordon around the vehicle before leaving the scene.

The cordon remains in place, with the back of the van seriously damaged. Enquiries remain ongoing.
A Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "A van on fire in Crewe was put out by firefighters using a hose reel.
"Crews monitored the temperature of the van and set up a cordon around the vehicle for safety before leaving."
