Emergency Services support man in crisis following incident on Crewe bridge
Emergency services supported a man in crisis in Crewe, after being seen standing on the wall of a bridge by the town's railway station.
On Monday 15 January, British Transport Police and North West Ambulance Service received reports of a "concern for welfare" on Nantwich Road, opposite Crewe Railway Station.
At around 2:40pm, officers and paramedics arrived at the scene, discovering a man on the railway bridge wall.
Emergency services managed to talk the man down, taking him to a "place of safety."
A section of Nantwich Road was closed while emergency services dealt with the incident.
A British Transport Police spokesperson told Nub News: "Officers were called to Crewe Railway Station at around 2.40pm on Monday 15 January, following reports of concern for welfare.
"Officers attended and a person was taken to a place of safety."
