Driver reported for operating vehicle 'without due care and attention' following collision

Cheshire Police has provided an update on a serious collision in South Cheshire - with one of the drivers reported for operating the vehicle 'without due care and attention.'

The incident on Cuckoo Lane, Acton, Nantwich, happened at 11:22am on Wednesday 15 February.

Cheshire Police officers, Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service crews and North West Ambulance paramedics rushed to the incident.

On arrival, emergency services found a person trapped inside their car following a two-vehicle collision.

This involved a grey Renault Master van and a blue Ford Ranger pickup.

The driver of the Ford pickup was reported for operating the vehicle 'without due care and attention.'

Firefighters used specialist equipment to safely rescue the casualty from their vehicle.

They were then passed over to paramedics and taken to hospital.

Cheshire Police provided an update to Crewe Nub News on Friday 17 February (Cheshire Police).

On Friday (February 17), Cheshire Police confirmed the incident to Nub News - providing an update.

A spokesperson said: "At 11:20am, police were called to reports of a collision on Cuckoo Lane, Action. 

"Police attended and found the incident involved a grey Renault Master van and a blue Ford Ranger pickup 

"One person was injured as a result of the incident, they were treated by paramedics. 

"The driver of the Ford has been reported for driving without due care and attention." 

The junction of Cuckoo Lane with Monks Lane was closed while both vehicles involved in the collision were made safe (Google).

One fire engine from Crewe, one from Nantwich, the Service Doctor and a major rescue unit from Northwich responded to this incident.
