Person rescued and taken to hospital following serious collision in South Cheshire
A person 'trapped' inside their vehicle was rescued and taken to hospital - following a serious two-vehicle collision in South Cheshire.
The incident on Cuckoo Lane, Acton, Nantwich, happened at 11:22am on Wednesday 15 February.
One fire engine from Crewe, one from Nantwich, the Service Doctor and a major rescue unit from Northwich quickly rushed to the scene.
Cheshire Police officers and North West Ambulance paramedics also rushed to the incident.
On arrival, emergency services found a person trapped inside their car following a two-vehicle collision.
Firefighters used specialist equipment to safely rescue the casualty from their vehicle.
They were then passed over to paramedics and taken to hospital.
The road was closed whole both vehicles involved in the collision were made safe.
A Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "There was a road traffic collision involving two vehicles took place on Cuckoo Lane in Acton.
"One casualty was trapped in the vehicle.
"Firefighters used specialist equipment to remove the casualty, they were then passed over to the care of Paramedics.
"Police were also in attendance. Both vehicles were made safe."
