Pensioner 'remains in hospital' following Crewe roundabout bus collision
Cheshire Police have confirmed a 77-year-old man remains in hospital with "serious injuries," following a collision between a bus and a car in Crewe.
On Monday 12 February, police received reports of an incident on Crewe Green Roundabout, at its junction with the B5077 Crewe Road.
At around 12:37pm, emergency services arrived the scene, discovering a bus was involved in a collision with a Peugeot 3008.
The driver of the was rushed to Leighton Hospital by ambulance with potentially life-threatening injuries.
On Tuesday (February 13), officers confirmed the man "remains in hospital" at this time.
A Cheshire police spokesperson told Nub News: "At 12.37pm on Monday 12 February police were called to reports of a collision on Crewe Green Roundabout.
"Officers attended and found there had been a collision between a car and a bus.
"The driver of the car sustained serious injuries and was taken to Leighton Hospital. The driver of the bus was uninjured.
"Enquiries in relation to the collision are ongoing and anyone with any information or video footage is asked to call Cheshire Police on 101, quoting IML 1755268."
The B5077 reopened several hours after the collision incident.
