Driver fails to stop after child 'hit by a car' in Crewe hit-and-run incident
Cheshire Police are urgently appealing for information after child was "hit by a car" in the West End of Crewe - with the driver failing to stop at the scene.
The incident on Badger Avenue, at its junction with Broad Street, happened at 8:15pm on Sunday 18 June.
Cheshire Police officers quickly arrived at the scene - discovering a young boy had been knocked off his bike by a car.
The driver who collided with the child, failed to stop, and was seen driving up Broad Street towards McLaren Park.
Thankfully, the boy suffered "no major injuries" - with an ambulance not required.
Officers say enquiries are "ongoing" with the Crewe hit-and-run incident.
On Wednesday 21 June, Cheshire Police confirmed the incident to Nub News.
A spokesperson said: "At 8.15pm on Sunday 18 June, police received reports of a child being hit by a car on Badger Avenue, Crewe.
"The boy had been knocked off his bike but suffered no major injuries and an ambulance was not required.
"The car failed to stop at the scene and enquiries are ongoing.
