Death notices in the Crewe area this week
Announcing the passing of a loved one in the local press is a long-standing tradition, with Crewe Nub News relaunching its Obituaries Section.
Every death notice published on the Crewe Obituaries Section is uploaded by the independent and traditional, family-run Steven Linde - Crewe Funeral Services.
Each week, Crewe Nub News pays tribute to the loved ones remembered in our area with a death notice.
Here are the death notices in the Crewe area published this week:
Timothy Lewis Kavanagh
Timothy passed away, aged 52, on Saturday 13 April.
The Crewe resident passed away in hospital following a long illness.
The beloved son of Kathryn, brother to Jye, much loved Dad to Charlotte, Kirsty and Cylan and Grandad to Jason, Emily, Lucy, Kensley and Kaisley, Tim will be sadly missed by his family and many friends.
His funeral service will take place at Crewe Crematorium Chapel on Thursday 2 May at 12:15pm, followed by cremation.
Donations in lieu of flowers will be gratefully received to support the good work of Cancer Research UK.
Pauline Ann Yarwood
Pauline passed away, aged 73, on Tuesday 23 April.
The Crewe resident passed away at home peacefully in the loving care of her family.
The beloved wife of the late Charles Henry Yarwood (Tich), much loved mum to Linda, Diane and Carol and a devoted Nan, Great Nan, sister and friend, Pauline will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
Pauline's funeral service will take place at Crewe Crematorium Chapel on Wednesday 8 May at 1:45pm, followed by cremation.
Flowers are welcome if desired.
Lola Harris
Lola passed away, aged 72, on Wednesday 27 March.
The Crewe resident passed away in hospital following ill health and a short illness.
At her own request, Lola was buried in a family grave at Crewe Cemetery where a graveside service was conducted by celebrant Steven Linde.
Lola is survived by her son Mark and grandchildren.
William Joiner 'Bill'
Bill passed away, aged 93, on Saturday 6 April.
The funeral has taken place for Bill and a Celebration of Life Service was held at Crewe Crematorium, led by celebrant Mr Steven Linde.
The eulogy was present by Bill's grandson Jeff revealing that he was born and raised in London's East end, was evacuated to the countryside during World War Two before returning to work in London for several years.
Bill had two children, Bob and Lynn, and went on to have seven grandchildren.
Throughout his life, Bill was a diehard supporter or West Ham Football Club and at the funeral service their anthem 'I'm Forever Blowing Bubbles' was played, sung by the 1975 team squad.
Generous donations were received to support the work of The Alzheimer's society.
