A popular bus route in Crewe is set to have its services expanded on Monday to Saturday evenings and Sunday afternoons, in a revised timetable this May.

The 8 (Wistaston Green - Crewe - Sydney - Elm Drive) D&G service, will have a new timetable in operation from Sunday 5 May.

Previously having its last service from Wistaston Green at 5:30pm, the bus will now run at 6:30pm, 7:30pm, 8:30pm and 9:30pm, Monday to Saturday.

The 8 D&G service will now run at 6:30pm, 7:30pm, 8:30pm and 9:30pm, Monday to Saturday (Ryan Parker).

This new six-day evening service will see the last bus arrive at Crewe Bus Station at 10:17pm.

In another new addition, the 8 will now run a service on Sundays.

The first bus will leave Wistaston Green, Capesthorne Road, at 10am, before running services at 11am, 12pm, 1:30pm, 2:30pm, 3:30pm and 4:30pm.

On its last service of the day, the number 8 will depart Crewe Bus Station at 5:17pm, before arriving at Wistaston Green, Aldersey Road, at 5:35pm.

In another new addition, the 8 will now run a service on Sundays, starting from 10am (Ryan Parker).

A Cheshire East Council statement read: "From 5 May, additional journeys will run on service 8 on Monday to Saturday evenings and Sunday daytimes."
