Crewe woman charged after stealing over £150 of items from chain store

A Crewe woman is set to appear in court, after being charged with the theft of items valued over £150 from a chain store.

On Wednesday 11 October, Cheshire Police received reports of a shoplifter inside Next, Grand Junction Retail Park.

At around 6pm, officers arrived at the scene, finding a woman detained by Next security staff.

The female had stolen items valued over £150. After being caught she became abusive, shouting and screaming at staff.

Charlotte Bradley 41, from Crewe, was arrested for the shoplifting offence and has since been charged with theft from a shop.

She has been remanded in custody to appear in court at a later date.

A Cheshire Police spokesperson said: "A female has been charged in relation to a shoplifting offence at Next, Grand Junction Retail Park.

"At 6pm on Wednesday 11 October, a call was received from Next after detaining a shoplifter in-store.

"A female had taken items valued over £150, and was detained by security.

Charlotte Bradley 41, from Crewe, was arrested for the shoplifting offence and has since been charged with theft from a shop (Cheshire Police).

"She was irate, shouting and screaming towards the staff. 

"Response patrol officers attended, and the female was arrested for the shoplifting offence. 

"Charlotte Bradley 41, from Crewe, has been charged with theft from a shop. She has been remanded in custody to appear at court."
