Crewe venue's management team celebrate one-year anniversary with defibrillator investment

A Crewe pub's management team have celebrated one year in charge, with the announcement it has successfully raised £1500 for a new defibrillator.

The Cheshire Inn, Nantwich Road, has been operated by Crewe landlady, Zoe Wilkinson, and team, for 12 months, with them taking over last November.

Since running The Cheshire Inn, Zoe has made an effort to move it away from being just a party venue.

The Cheshire Inn's new defibrillator will be installed on its exterior wall, in a place for the entire community to use (Nub News).

As well as quiz and karaoke nights, The Cheshire Inn hosts live music from a local artist on the first Saturday of every month.

The pub has now raised £1500 for its first defibrillator, a project which has been years in the making.

Zoe told Nub News: "I honestly can't believe it's been a year already.

"We are lucky to have some of the most amazing customers, many of who now feel more like part of the family.

"In such a short period we have made this pub a corner stone of the local community, from helping bands have their first gigs to raising money for a defibrillator for all to use.

"There are so many exciting events to look forward to in the next 12 months, starting with live music booked every Saturday in December.

"We will be fundraising from mid November for mission Christmas supporting local disadvantaged children to have a good Christmas."

The Cheshire Inn's new defibrillator will be installed on its exterior wall, in a place for the entire community to use.

The Cheshire Inn is open 12pm until 11pm (Sunday to Thursday) and 12pm until midnight (Friday and Saturday) (Ryan Parker).

Brewery, Proper Pubs, has now ordered the machine, with The Cheshire Inn keeping everyone updated on the development through its social media page.
