Footage of the Crewe town centre development has been recorded by a Crewe resident - showing the recent demolition work taking place.
The recording from Mr Jan Wright, shows demolition work being carried out last week (commencing May 30).
Workers can be seen using heavy machinery to pull down the derelict former bus garages.
The Crewe town centre development was expected to commence this January.
A planning bid permitting the construction of a new bus interchange and multi-storey car park was secured in September 2021.
This was then delayed until the beginning of May, frustrating local residents.
The scheme has now been up and running for approximately six weeks and demolition work is noticeable when walking through the town centre.
Crewe Nub News went to check out the work over the Platinum Jubilee bank holiday weekend.
A large chunk of the former bus garages had been taken out by demolition workers - visible from Delamere Street.
Archeological excavation work that had taken place, was also visible on the site of the former Citizen's Advice Bureau - demolished in 2019.
Excavation works are part of the planning requirements for the development. They were also carried out at the site of the former bus garages - both have now been completed.
It is now expected that the bus garages demolition can be completed towards the end of this month.
A revised one-way system is now in place to allow buses to exit only from the bus station on to Charles Street.
Two-way access for the buses will still be in place on Delamere Street. There have been no changes to bus timetables.
Crewe's new bus interchange is expected to be completed by the late summer of 2023 alongside a multi-storey car park.

The footage shows workers water spraying the roof with water after asbestos was discovered within the garages.
Damp asbestos materials release far fewer asbestos fibres into the air.
