A CREWE supermarket has stepped up to donate hundreds of pounds worth of toiletries for patients at St Luke's Hospice.

Morrisons presented £600 worth of items to the Winsford-based hospice which provides expert care for people with life-limiting illnesses, including Crewe residents.

Store operations manager Anthony Lacking, who called in at the hospice for the handover, said: "I brought donations of items which will come in handy like electric toothbrushes, soaps, razors - lines that we can spare from the store to help the community during the pandemic.

"We just want to help in any way we can."

Karen Jackson, sister at St Luke's inpatient unit, said: "We are so very grateful to Morrisons in Crewe for their generosity.

"We were overwhelmed when Anthony arrived at the hospice with so many boxes to donate.

"The toiletries and electric toothbrushes will help to bring some home comforts to patients who are staying with us.

"Thank you Morrisons for your ongoing support."
