Crewe Sunday league restart on hold as programme faces null and void threat

THE restart of the Crewe Regional Sunday League season has been put back despite grassroots sports return today.

Fixtures pencilled in from next Sunday, April 4 face being rescheduled from April 11, although the entire league programme may be shelved completely after long-serving league secretary Dave Cooper suffered a health scare and a clutch of clubs indicated they do not want to play on until June.

Dave has informed fellow league officials that he suffered a stroke recently and is under strict medical orders.

Games will be cancelled on April 4 and clubs are to be contacted to see if they want to restart and, if so, games could be rearranged from April 11.
