Crewe school submits new extension plans to provide extra classroom space

A Crewe school located close to a large housing development has submitted new extension plans - aiming to provide extra classroom space.

Monks Coppenhall Academy, Remer Street, submitted plans to Cheshire East Council on Friday (January 13).

The primary school and day nursery has applied to construct a single-storey extension - providing additional classroom space.

Monks Coppenhall Academy is located in front of Stoneley Park - a Crewe housing development consisting of over 650 homes.

The primary school has seen a large influx of pupils since the development began in 2015.

Monks Coppenhall has applied to have its existing canopy repositioned to make way for the extension.

G&S Design Limited, of Middlewich, are responsible for the planning designs.

The last date for submitting comments is Wednesday 15 February.
