A community high school in Crewe is "delighted" after receiving a 'Good' report from Ofsted, maintaining its previous grading for overall effectiveness.
Ruskin Community High School, Ruskin Road, which provides education for pupils from year seven to 11 (ages 11 to 16), was judged by Ofsted this June.
In the 2024 report, Ofsted said Ruskin pupils 'enjoy their learning and want to succeed and 'behave well in lessons and around the school.'
The government department praised the school, saying it 'ensures every pupil, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities, has the opportunity to benefit from rich experiences.'
Oftsed also said pupils 'enjoy attending school and value the warm and respectful relationships they can develop with staff and peers.'
Head Teacher, Dean Postlethwaite, told Nub News: "Following our recent Ofsted Inspection, we are delighted to share we have been graded as Good, maintaining our previous grading for overall effectiveness.
"As a school, we would like to thank our students who represented the school in an excellent manner throughout the inspection and also families for your support.
"Also, our staff for all of their hard work over the past few years in helping us to create a fantastic community school of which we are proud.
"We welcome visitors to our school to our Open Evening on Monday 23 September, from 4pm to 7pm with some more Open Mornings available too.
"Students will be giving tours of the school and show recent improvements to the facilities too. "
Established in 1902, Ruskin currently enrols around 670 pupils.
Over the last few years, it has made improvements to install up-to-date teaching technological resources to improve the learning environment.
A significant project of four additional new English classrooms was completed in summer 2023.
Ruskin also installed new outdoor food service point, The Pod, last September, supporting the school in moving back to one lunch time and break.
