Four men arrested following police helicopter incident in Crewe
Four men have been arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary, the supply of class B drugs, and possession of a bladed weapon, following a police helicopter incident in Crewe.
On Saturday 14 September, Cheshire Police received reports of an armed robbery on Walthall Street.
At around 10.40pm, local officers attended the scene, supported by the National Police Air Service (NPAS) and armed police.
Officers discovered a cannabis farm inside the address, with reports a group of men fleeing from the scene in two vehicles.
The two vehicles were found abandoned on nearby Bedford Street, with police locating and detaining four men.
They were arrested on suspicion of the listed offences and have since been released on conditional bail.
A Cheshire Police spokesperson told Nub News: "At around 10.40pm on Saturday 14 September, police received reports of an aggravated burglary on Walthall Street, Crewe.
"Officers attended the scene, and a cannabis farm was discovered inside the address.
"It was reported that a group of men, dressed in dark clothing had made off from the scene in two vehicles, which were subsequently found abandoned near Bedford Street.
"A search of the area was conducted, assisted by NPAS, and four men were located and arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary, being concerned in the supply of class B drugs, and possession of a bladed article.
"They have since been released on bail."
