FORMER servicemen and women were joined by local dignitaries to pay their respects in Crewe town centre on Remembrance Sunday.

Members of the Crewe Branch of the Royal British Legion were joined by other servicemen's associations, army and sea cadets as well as youngsters from local scouting groups for the parade onto Memorial Square this morning (Sunday).

After a service on the square, the last post was played and a two-minute silence observed at 11am before wreaths were layed.

It was the first full Remembrance Service in Crewe since 2019 after last year's was cancelled due to Covid.

Local photographer Peter Robinson was in Memorial Square and took the fantastic gallery of images above.

Remembrance Services were also held at Wistaston, Shavington, Haslington and Willaston.
