Crewe Police find drugs in vehicle during stop and search on busy road
Cheshire Constabulary has carried out a stop and search on a busy road in Crewe - finding drugs inside the targeted vehicle.
Crewe Police carried out multi agency traffic enforcement on the A500 this morning (September 21) - discovering drugs during a stop and search of a vehicle.
The officers also handed out 18 Traffic Offence Reports - predominately for the use of mobile phones at the wheel.
Police seized one vehicle on the A500 for no insurance.
A number of motorists on the Crewe Road were also handed DVSA vehicle prohibition notices.
Crewe Police confirmed this traffic enforcement work on social media this afternoon.
A statement on social media read: "Multi agency traffic enforcement this morning on A500, Crewe has resulted in:
"18 Traffic Offence Reports - mainly for mobile phone use.
"Vehicle seizure for no insurance.
"Positive stop search for drugs.
"DVSA prohibitions."
This multi agency traffic enforcement was carried out between Shavington and Barthomley.
