CREWE and Nantwich MP Kieran Mullan voted in favour of the government's measures aimed at stifling the Omicron variant.
A series of votes in Parliament last night (Tuesday), including the introduction of Covid passports, triggered a revolt of nearly 100 Conservative MPs.
The vote on Covid passes was the most unpopular of the measures for Tory backbench MPs and in all 126 MPs filed into the lobby against it, including Labour and Liberal Democrat members.
But the 369 votes for, including that of the Crewe and Nantwich MP, saw it passed as a requirement for entry into certain venues, including nightclubs.
Other Cheshire Conservative MPs voting for passes were Congleton's Fiona Bruce, Eddisbury MP Edward Timpson and Macclesfield MP David Rutley.
Other measures passed were the introduction of self-isolation for those in close contact with people testing positive for Covid and the mandatory vaccination of NHS workers.
You will also need a Covid pass to get into indoor unseated venues with more than 500 people, unseated outdoor venues with more than 4,000 people and venues with more than 10,000 people.
The ruling applies to the numbers of people in attendance and not the capacity of the venue.
So, Crewe Alex fans will not be required, at present, to provide a Covid pass as while the capacity of the Mornflake Stadium is just over 10,000, the largest crowd so far this season (last Saturday's visit of Sheffield Wednesday) was 6,365.
The next largest was the 5,618 that attended the visit of Sunderland on October 19.
To get a Covid pass you need proof of having received two doses of an approved vaccine or a negative PCR or rapid lateral flow test taken in the previous 48 hours on application.
Passes are available through the NHS app here.
