Crewe Alexandra's coaching team have said they would like the players to more of a 'threat in the final third' - as they compete in their fifth pre-season friendly.
The Railwaymen travel to Halesowen Town FC, West Midlands, tonight (July 12) - 7:45pm kick-off.
Crewe Alexandra have played four pre-season friendlies so far - winning two of them.
They beat Nantwich Town 3-0 (July 2), lost 2-1 to Macclesfield Town (July 5), thrashed KIdsgrove Athletic 6-0 (July 6) and drew 0-0 with Barnsley (July 9).
Summer signings Kelvin Mellor, Rodney McDonald and Courtney Baker-Richardson have all featured.
New midfield signings Connor Thomas and Charlie Colkett are still yet to play for Morris' side due to 'short-term niggles' - according to the boss.
Today, Crewe's player development coach, Kenny Lunt, has said that the management team are happy with the application and intensity from the squad, but want better attacking play.
Lunt told Crewe Alexandra's website: "We want to see us playing out from the back and being a threat in the final third with the attacking players we have.
"The players have shown that at times in the pre-season but we know we can still improve and work on a few things."
Halesowen Town compete in the Northern Premier League Division One Midlands league.
They have played two pre-season fixtures so far - winning 5-3 and losing 3-0 respectively.
For any Crewe Alexandra supporters considering making the West Midlands trip tonight - it is estimated a 68-minute drive.
Luny added: "We can use the remaining games to have a look at different things and see what they have picked up from the training sessions.
"We have been pleased with the intensity of it all and the way the players have approached the games and we are looking for the same against Halesowen, West Brom and Rotherham."
Last week, Lunt told Crewe's media the club were still trying to bring in a new goalkeeper to compete with Dave Richards.
Crewe Alexandra host Championship sides West Bromich Albion at The Mornflake Stadium this Saturday (July 16).
