Crewe man to appear in court after drink driving in town

A Crewe drink driver is set to appear in court after failing a roadside breath test in the town and refusing to provide a breath test in police custody.

On Saturday 18 November, Cheshire Police pulled over a Volkswagen Polo being driven erratically on Walthall Street.

At around 1:30am, the driver of the vehicle failed a roadside breath test and was arrested for drink drinking.

Jay Cristini, 25 from Haslington, failed a roadside breath test on Walthall Street (Nub News).

Jay Cristini, 25 from Haslington, has been charged with failing to provide a specimen for analysis.

The local man has been bailed to appear at court within the next month.

A Cheshire Police spokesperson said: " At roughly 01:30am on Saturday 18 November, response patrol officers had a concern over the manner of driving of a Volkswagen Polo.

"They performed a traffic stop on Walthall Street.

"The driver failed a roadside breath test and was arrested. He then later refused to provide a breath test for analysis in Police custody.
