A 42-year-old man from Crewe has been handed a 10-year criminal behaviour order - to curb his prolific behaviour.

Karl Manley, from Doddington Road, Crewe, appeared at Crewe Magistrates Court on Monday (June 13) to be sentenced.

At an earlier hearing, Manley admitted fraud by false representation and failing to provide a sample for a drugs test while in custody.

He also admitted obstructing a constable in the course of their duty.

Karl Manley, 42, is banned from entering the Grand Junction Retail Park and the Dorothy Flude Retail Park (Ryan Parker).

Manley was sentenced to 16 weeks in prison. He was also handed a 10-year Criminal Behaviour Order.

This prevents him from entering the Grand Junction Retail Park and the Dorothy Flude Retail Park.

PC Alex Barker said: "Manley is a prolific offender who has brought misery to Crewe residents and businesses over a number of years with his prolific offending.

"We hope that given his lengthy criminal behaviour order his reoffending will be stopped in its tracks.

Manley was also sentenced to 16 weeks in prison (Cheshire Constabulary).

"If Manley fails to adhere to the order, he faces going back to prison and could face up to five years."

Anyone who encounters Manley breaching any of the above restrictions is urged to contact Cheshire Police HERE or call 101, to report it.
