Crewe man charged with aggravated burglary and possession of an offensive weapon

Cheshire Police detectives investigating an aggravated burglary in Crewe - have now charged a man in connection with the incident.

Riley Gaffney, of Ursuline Way, Crewe, was arrested on Thursday 19 January.

He was subsequently charged with one count of aggravated burglary with intent, one count of possession of a class B drug (cannabis).

Gaffney was also charged with one count of possession of an offensive weapon in a private place.

The 18-year-old was remanded in custody and is set to appear at Chester Crown Court on Monday 20 February.

These charges follow an aggravated burglary which took place on Sunday 15 January at an address on Hawthorn Grove, Crewe.
