Crewe man charged after driving whilst disqualified in town

A Crewe man has been charged after driving whilst disqualified in the town, appearing at court later this month.

On Tuesday 30 January, Cheshire Police were alerted to a male driving a Land Rover on Vernon Way.

At around 12pm, patrol officers performed a traffic stop on the vehicle.

Rafael Lamot, 46, from Crewe, has been charged with driving whilst disqualified (Cheshire Police).

Checks showed the driver was currently disqualified from driving and he was arrested.

He will appear at Crewe Magistrates' Court on Tuesday 22 February.

A Cheshire Police spokesperson said: "A male has been charged after driving whilst disqualified in Crewe.

"At approximately midday on Tuesday 30 January, patrol officers performed a traffic stop on a Land Rover on Vernon Way.

Rafael Lamot will appear at Crewe Magistrates' Court on Tuesday 22 February (Cheshire Police).

"Checks on the driver showed he was currently disqualified from driving and he was arrested.

"Rafael Lamot, 46, from Crewe, has been charged with driving whilst disqualified. He will appear at court on Tuesday 22 February."
