Crewe man, 46, charged after 'abusive calls to police control room'

A CREWE man has been charged with making a series of abusive calls to Cheshire Police's control room staff using the 999 system.
Richard Ransome, 46, of St Pauls Close, Crewe faces charges of persistently making use of the public communication network to cause annoyance, as well as obstructing a constable in the execution of their duty.
He has been remanded in custody to appear at West Cheshire Magistrates' Court in Chester tomorrow (January 14).
