Crewe FC seeks alcohol licence for new revamped social space

Crewe Football Club is planning to serve alcohol in a revamped community space, with its new grassroots pitch targeted to be completed at the back end of this year.
This July, Crewe FC submitted a premises licence to Cheshire East Council, wanting to supply alcohol at its redeveloped sports pavilion, off West Street.
Crewe FC is currently carrying out a refurbishment of its changing rooms, installing a kitchen serving hatch, platform lift and converting two old upstairs changing rooms into a community space with a bar.

It is expected the pavilion redevelopment will be completed by the end of July, providing a social space to enjoy a beer, coffee and more.
Chairman, Steve Parker, told Nub News construction of its new 3G artificial grass pitch on King George V Playing Fields is due to commence this July/August, with it hoped to be completed in October/November..
With the approval of an alcohol licence, Crewe FC would have its new community space up and running several months before the completion of the £1.3 million pitch.
The premises licence application reads: "Notice is hereby given that we, Crewe FC (Commercial Operations) Limited, have applied to Cheshire East Council in respect of the premises known as Crewe Football Club, Sports Pavilion, West Street.
"This is for a premises licence to provide the supply of alcohol for consumption on the premises, Monday to Saturday, 11.30am to 11pm,. each day and Sunday 12.30pm to 11pm."

Representations to Crewe FC's application shall be made in writing to Cheshire East Council Licensing Section on or before Thursday 31 July.
