Crewe drink driver charged after driving at 'excess speed' in local countryside

A Crewe man has been charged with drink driving after being caught travelling at "excess speed" in the local countryside.

On Friday 19 July, Cheshire Police noticed a car speeding on Eardswick Lane, Minshull Vernon.

At 11:30pm, officers stopped the vehicle, with the driver failing a roadside breath test.

Shawn Price, 32, of Crewe East, has been charged with drink driving (Cheshire Police).

Shawn Price, 32, has since been charged with drink driving.

He has been bailed to appear at Crewe Magistrates' Court on Wednesday 14 August.

A Cheshire Police spokesperson said: "At 11.30pm on Friday 19 July, police observed a vehicle driving at excess speed on Eardswick Lane in Minshull Vernon.

"Officers subsequently stopped the car and the driver was arrested for driving while unfit through drink.

Shawn Price has been bailed to appear at Crewe Magistrates' Court on Wednesday 14 August (Nub News).

"Shawn Price, 32, of Crewe East, has since been charged with drink driving.

"He has been bailed to appear at Crewe Magistrates' Court on Wednesday 14 August."
