The October half-term is fast approaching, with parents scrambling for ideas about how to entertain their children and teenagers during the week off school.

Swansway Motor Group has assembled a list of days' out and activities for their customers to enjoy within driving distance of their front doors.

Half term falls from Monday 23 October to Friday 27 October in 2023, as such thoughts of Halloween are set to dominate both the minds of children and the themes at activities days.

Wheelock Hall Farm is an option for families in Crewe, with the pumpkin patch open throughout October everyday between 8am and 6pm (Nub News).

Swansway has provided an extensive list of ideas linked to the Halloween theme, but for those less partial to the spooks and scares of late October, there are many other options included.

Pumpkin picking offers a seasonal day out for all ages, with a host of farms local to Swansway sites.

Wheelock Hall Farm is an option for families in Crewe, with the pumpkin patch open throughout October everyday between 8am and 6pm. 

Alternatively, Dunham Massey Ice Cream Farm in Altrincham has over 30,000 pumpkins to choose from in various colours, with food and hot drinks, including pumpkin spiced lattes available.

Alton Towers in Staffordshire is once again holding the award-winning Scarefest with entertainment for all ages (Wiki Commons).

Those who pick pumpkins at Dunham Massey can double-up and visit National Trust site, Dunham Massey, where a host of Halloween activities are on offer.

Theme parks have always been an ideal Halloween destination, 2023 is proving no different.

Alton Towers in Staffordshire is once again holding the award-winning Scarefest with entertainment for all ages.

Visitors can amuse themselves with the Alton Towers Dungeon, Terrifying scare attractions and the new ride 'The Curse at Alton Manor.'
