Roadworks are causing delays on major road in Crewe, which are expected to be completed by the end of today (April 29).

United Utilities Water started maintenance works on Edleston Road this morning.

Traffic lights at the junction of Edleston Road and Derrington Avenue have been switched off with temporary multi-way signals put up.

These signals, placed just before Edleston Road's junction with Union Street, have been causing delays this afternoon.

The United Utilities Water maintenance works are expected to be completed by the end of April 29, making Edleston Road look like this again (Ryan Parker).

The works on Edleston Road are expected to be completed by midnight.

Temporary lights are also currently on place on West Street and Marshfield Bank.
