Crewe bridge and section of road closed to motorists until the weekend

A section of a major road in Crewe including a bridge is closed to motorists until the weekend, allowing drainage dig up investigations to take place.

Parkers Road, from the junction of Broughton Road, to the junction of Mablins Lane, is closed from Monday 2 June to Saturday 6 June.

Cheshire East Council is responsible for the closure due to a water leak, creating a risk of flooding and carriageway deterioration.

The alternative route during the temporary closure is via Mablins Lane, Bradfield Road and Broughton Road.

Pedestrian/cycle access to any premises situated within this closure will be maintained at all times.

Vehicular access for residents and emergency vehicles will also be maintained where possible.
