Crewe barbers fined almost £100k for using illegal workers

A Crewe town centre barbershop has been fined almost £100k, after being caught by Immigration Enforcement using illegal workers.
Figaro's Barber, Delamere Street, was charged £90,000 for the use of illegal workers, according to latest Government data.
The traditional Turkish barbers has been penalised following the latest Government update on illegal working civil penalties, covering the period of July 1 to September 30 last year.
Figaro's Barber told Nub News it is under new ownership, saying there are no illegal worker issues with the business now.
The Government website says: "This quarterly report lists employers in the UK that have received fines (civil penalties) for illegal working.

"The report lists fines given to employers who have not paid or are not making regular payments towards a penalty 28 days after they have exhausted all their objection and/or appeal rights.
"Employers who have been served with a second or further penalty once they have exhausted all their objection and/or appeal rights regardless of whether any payment has been made."
