CREWE skipper Perry Ng says he needs to concentrate "on his own game" after a few indifferent performances.

After three defeats in the last four games - albeit against top six opponents - the Railwaymen will look to get back to winning ways when they host Gillngham tomorrow night (K.O 7pm).

Ng says he doesn't want to put pressure on his team mates as he acknowledges he, himself, has not been at his best.

The defender said: "I don't like to put pressure on anyone and I have to concentrate on my own game which hasn't been good enough in the last few games.

"I've had a tough few weeks on a personal level, but I am looking to improve to help the team."

Crewe were the better side at Ipswich at the weekend and the 1-0 defeat to the high-flying Tractor Boys left a bitter taste in the mouth.

But Ng added: "It was tough to take and we were really good, but we will have to go again.

"Gillingham will be a tough game for us as they are a physical side, so it will be a different kind of game.

"It's not been a bad start, but it has not been great either. We want to be higher up the table but we have had some tough games against teams that will be up there.

"Teams in League One are a lot more organised and the players are sharper and quicker."

Boss Dave Artell says his players must leave their frustrations over the Ipswich outcome behind them and meet the challenge of opponents, who while having lost their last four League One fixtures, have an uncompromising style.

"We were good on Saturday and above League One standard, but if you don't put the ball in the back of the net then you leave yourself wide open," said the Crewe manager.

"Gillingham will certainly be more direct and they have a succinct style of play. They are good at what they do and while they have had a bit of a poor run recently theirs is an effective way of playing all through the leagues."
