Cheshire East Council has confirmed the grand opening date for an 'exciting' Crewe town centre development - located a former car park site.

Ly2, Lyceum Square, will officially launch to the public on Saturday 24 June - following five months of major works.

This project transforms the town's Lyceum Square into a new events and performance space.

The launch of LY2 will see the completion of phase two of the scheme. Phase three will be finished 'later this summer' (Ryan Parker).

It will host events, festivals, performances, and activities throughout the year.

A temporary road closure on Hill Street and Heath Street has been in place for several weeks - but will reopen on Wednesday 7 June.
