Tens of thousands of people in every corner of the country will celebrate the heartfelt, brave, everyday actions being taken to stand up for nature and fight climate change.

Ben Wye, the Co-op Member Pioneer who organised the event, said "The Apollo campus used to be an educational and environmental study area.

"Autism Inclusive now use it as a play area for their children, but at this time of year the dropping apples create a hazard.

"It was wonderful that so many local residents turned out to pick up the apples and help turn what could have wasted into over 150 gallons of juice, vinegar and cider at the Old Saw Mill.

"As well as this, collection students from the nearby Springfield school have been collecting apples for their families.

"Hopefully valuing trees in this way will save them for the future and contribute in a small way to tackling climate change."

Autism Inclusive representative, Gem Maloney Ridsdale, thanked Co-op Member Pioneer, Ben Wye, for organising the event.

She said: "It will make the garden so much more accessible for the children to access when they visit Autism Inclusive without tripping over all of the apples."
