A closed down café and Turkish grill in Crewe has been repossessed by Asda, after bailiffs took enforcement action on the town centre building.

Riminis, 39 Victoria Street, had until 5pm on Friday 14 November to collect abandoned items left at the premises.

Closing down in 2024, with no business statement as to why, Riminis no longer has permitted access to the building.

Established in 2005, the Crewe eatery relocated from Queensway to Victoria Street in August 2021.

When Nub News visited the premises, a 'Take Notice' and a 'Notice under the Torts (Interference With Goods Act) 1977' were placed on the windows.

As the deadline has now passed, McLagan Investments Limited is now free to dispose of Riminis' items.

Bryan Lecoche Ltd Enforcement Agents said: "These premises have been repossessed by the owners: Asda Stores Ltd.

"Any attempt to re-enter will be treated as a criminal offence and reported to the police.

"Any person claiming to have an interest in the property or the contents should call the below telephone number [01234 824570].

"If the contents are not claimed, Asda Stores Ltd will, under Section 12 of the Torts (Interference With Goods} Act 1977, dispose of them.

"Neith we, nor Asda Stores Ltd will accept liability for any actual or consequential loss suffered by you or any third party by undertaking the above action."

Nub News has been unable to get in touch with Riminis since July 2024, when the business planned to expand into next door (former Crafterama).
