Connor Naismith MP was joined by Mayor of Greater Manchester, Andy Burnham, and Deputy Labour Leader, Lucy Powell MP, for a sold-out Labour Party fundraiser in Crewe.
On Thursday 13 November, Connor Naismith MP hosted a fundraising event with guest speakers Lucy Powell MP, Deputy Leader of the Labour Party, and Andy Burnham at Apollo Buckingham Health Science Campus, Crewe Green Road.
Labour party members journeying from the surrounding areas also attended the fundraiser.
Mr Naismith delivered a speech on the "progress" the Labour Party have made in Crewe and Nantwich so far, along with the importance of the government listening to voices from outside of the cabinet, before fielding questions submitted from the audience for Andy and Lucy.

Members asked about what Crewe and Nantwich can learn from Greater Manchester ahead of the Cheshire and Warrington Combined Authority elections, as well as the threat of Reform for marginal seats like the constituency.
Andy and Lucy were also grilled on their go-to kebab order and the best place for a night out in Manchester.
In light of recent announcements of further delays to a decision on the replacement HS2 line, the importance of connectivity between Crewe and Nantwich and Manchester, as well as across the regions, was a recurring theme of the night.
Over the course of the evening, the importance of Labour delivering on key issues like economic inequality and long-term public investment to maintain public trust was clear.
Mr Burnham said: "I wanted to be here to support an MP who is making a real difference, for a community that needs a strong MP.
"And, Connor is that strong voice for Crewe and Nantwich. It was also brilliant to see all the businesses and community organisations here."
"I look forward to when Greater Manchester can work with Cheshire East and Crewe and Nantwich once we both have devolution.
"We can build the power of both places together and make the case together for a 21st century Crewe railway station, with high-speed lines to match.

"The success of Greater Manchester is bound up with having a modern railway line running through Crewe, so we are massively joined on this issue, and we will fight with you to get what we need."
Each of the speakers expressed support for a diversity of voices within the Labour Party, allowing feedback to strengthen the party's direction.
Mrs Powell said: "Connor is a fantastic champion for Crewe and Nantwich and I have seen myself what a strong voice he is for residents here and in parliament."
"It was great to answer questions from local Labour Party members and businesses and talk about what the Labour Party is doing to rewire the country so it works for ordinary people.
"This is with stronger employment rights, better protections for renters, trains and buses back in public ownership, and action to tackle the cost of living through free breakfast clubs, help with energy bills for more people on low incomes, and a rise in the national living wage."
Following a three-course meal from Curry Magic, attendees had the opportunity to take part in a raffle, with prizes including a signed Houses of Parliament bottle of whiskey from Sir Lindsay Hoyle and a signed copy of Andy's co-authored book, Head North.
Mr Naismith said: "A huge thank you to both Andy and Lucy for giving up their time to speak to our Labour Party members in Crewe and Nantwich.
"The turnout shows how keen people are to get behind this Labour government, as well as their support for representative voices like theirs.

"It was brilliant to discuss ideas on boosting regional economic growth, tackling the cost-of-living crisis at a local level and delivering greater infrastructure connectivity.
"Everyone in the room shared the same position; a common focus on improving the lives of working people and standing up to malicious actors riding the waves of hatred and division.
"I am sure everyone who attended feels a renewed sense of purpose after the event. I know I do."
